The last week of my travels. The south of Thailand and KL

Friday 22^nd November 2013

I woke up in Phuket feeling Stiff and cold. Outside the raining was pouring down which put a spanner in the works for my plan to head to the islands. I shared a taxi to a hostel in Phuket town and checked in and got showered and changed. I didn’t do much with the day as the rain was so heavy but I did take a ride on one of the local buses to a beach where I watched all the crazy people sunbathing in the rain. I got a massage and then headed back to the hostel I got chatting to a girl and we went and had some dinner then chilled out at the hostel.

Saturday 23^rd November 2013

I woke up early as I was freezing my bed was right under the air-con and there was no way to turn it off I got ready for the day and had a liquid breakfast before getting the bus to Patong where I figured if it was going to rain all day I would find an inside activity which was getting a bamboo tattoo. It took about 90mins (the size of it would have taken about 20mins with a gun) it wasn’t too painful just in places. Since I was at the beach I paddled my toes but it was still drizzling and that soon turned into full blown rain so I didn’t hang about. That night I had dinner with some guys from the hostel then chilled in the common room watching films.

Sunday 24^th November 2013

At breakfast this morning I got chatting to an Australian guy as soon as there was a pause in the rain we jumped on the first local bus to come along which was heading to Kata. Much to my upset by the time we got there the sun was out in full force we walked along the beach and then sat in the sun for ages. We then walked the length of the beach along to the next beach Karon and got some food. Then ambled back to the bus stop whilst looking at the shops the last local buses are about 5pm so we couldn’t really hang about. That night we ate at a local food market the food was incredible! Back at the hostel I packed and headed to bed.

Monday 25^th November 2013

Last night was freezing again the air-con was so cold blasting down at me and when I woke up at 4am to get myself off to the airport there was a random bloke in my room I’m guessing he just passed out drunk there and I was too cold to realise ha-ha. I got my stuff together and headed downstairs to check out and wait for my taxi. At the airport I checked in and got some munch which I ate at the gate. The flight to KL only took about an hour as I slept for most of it. It felt like no sooner had we taken off then we were landing. I got my bags cleared customs and got the skybus into KL Sentral since I was in little India I went and got my eyebrows threaded before jumping on the LRT and heading for the language house. I dumped my bags there as classes were in so all the teachers were busy and went and got my haircut before grabbing some food and meeting Layne and the others about 4pm. We went to his and I did my laundry then we went to the Laundromat to wash the sheets while we were waiting we chilled in the massage chairs which freaked me out a bit then got some food. Later on I went with Awein to see the new gym he works at and then when it closed we went to get some food with his friends we chilled a few hours and I let myself back into Laynes about 1.30am

Tuesday 26^th November 2013

I woke up early and headed in with Layne when he went to work. I walked down to Jasmine towers to my old apartment and had breakfast with Mic and Emily. Emily was running late for work so we dropped her at the bus stop we got back home and Mic realised she didn’t have a key so we had to pick up Emily who had gotten off the bus drive her to work and take her key. Back at Jasmine I fare welled Mic and headed to Tropicana I had an hour or so to kill before I was meeting Awein so I grabbed a cup of tea. I met Awein back at his gym and had a workout and then we had lunch before I headed to Sunway pyramid to meet Sidney for a drink and then Nicola and Hana we all hung out together for a while and then when Nicola and Hana left Sidney and I got dinner and then he dropped me back at Laynes where I packed and got myself sorted for leaving tomorrow.

Wednesday 27^th November 2013

I slept really badly as I was panicking about sleeping in and missing my flight eventually it was morning and I got myself up said goodbye to Layne and headed outside. Awien was late to pick me up due to roadwork’s and then we got a bit lost on the way to the airport I got there just in time to check in and rushed through to the gate boarded and then sat on the plane for ages a the there was something wrong with refuelling! The flight was ok I had a whole row to myself so could stretch out to sleep. I finished my book and flipped through the on board magazines to pass the time as it was an air Asia flight there was no food and no entertainment which was a bit boring. We landed in Sydney two hours late and Gerard was nowhere to be seen turns out he had the days confused and thought I was coming tomorrow. But I worked out in the end he came and got me and we went back to his where I slept for a few hours before heading back to the airport.

Thursday 28^th November 2013

I woke up and got dressed and we headed back to the airport because of traffic it was a bit of a rush and I checked in in the nick of time. I met Daniel by the gate and it wasn’t long before we boarded the flight was ok except I had forgotten to request a vegetarian meal so there was nothing except cake for me to eat. I watched a movie and chilled out. We landed in Christchurch and my bag came out quick but we had to wait ages for Dans and then the line for customs took so long it was over two hours between disembarking and walking out! Daniels friend Sam was there to pick us up and she took us to the library where we walked in to surprise mum. She was speechless success the plan worked we made it to NZ without anyone finding out! Later on we surprised Sian at work as well which was good.
